Jacob Hyman

Jacob Hyman is a borosilicate flameworking artist with over 11 years experience. Starting at the age of 15 years old, Jacob has worked out of his home studio located in Portland, Oregon. In his personal art Jacob strives to combine tasteful use of color, with structurally correct and well made thoughtful elegant designs. Much of his work is comprised of multi-piece hollow forms, which vary from small colorful scent bottles to very large electric lamps. Jacob has interned for Milon Townsend in his upstate New York studio and has also been a teacher's assistant for Milon at the Eugene Glass School in Oregon, as well as The Studio at The Corning Museum of Glass. Jacob's work was one of 35 artist pieces featured in the Juried Auction Exhibition at the 2004 New Orleans Glass art Society Convention.
